Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham, ON

Our first site of the 2022 season was installed on June 28, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus! This site was made possible by Keegan Kares, who generously donated their profits of their homemade bath bombs and cards to this installation. They wanted to give back to the community; helping us achieve our goals of giving the gift of rest. Thank you Keegan Kares for your generosity!

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is a 200 bed community hospital that serves the residents of Chatham and rural Kent, including Walpole Island and Delaware First Nations. There are two sites of the CKHA: one in Chatham and another in Wallaceburg that employ 1,400 staff, 200 physicians, and 300 volunteers. CKHA is a national leader in green healthcare sustainability and is linked to tertiary care centres in London, Windsor and beyond, with an affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in London Ontario. Chatham-Kent Health Alliance offers a full range of programs from Emergency Services and diagnostics to Surgery, to Chronic Disease Management and Oncology, to Mental Health, to Indigenous Health. The Health Centre sees approximately tens of thousands (10,000s) inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients annually!

We at 1 Bench 1 Tree also want to recognize Earthworks Garden Centre in Chatham for providing their installation services; thank you for working to physically make the installation possible. We are also continuing to partner with Maglin to supply benches at our sites, thank you for your continued support of 1 Bench 1 Tree! We look forward to see what the rest of 2022 has in store for us!
